Edgware minicabs are pre-booked private hire cars. Unlike black cabs, they cannot be hailed in the street. They must be booked through a licensed private hire operator. We are a cab facilitator: we connect you with licensed minicab companies, show you their fixed price quotes and pass your booking to the operator you choose.
How the minicab system works
In London, private hire is licensed by Transport for London. The operator, the driver and the vehicle each need a licence. Outside London, local councils do the same job. When you book through us, your journey is carried out by an independent licensed operator. We do not employ drivers or run vehicles ourselves.
Stay safe: only travel in a minicab you have booked. Check that the car and driver match your booking confirmation before you get in.
Why compare minicab companies?
Prices can vary between minicab companies for the same journey, depending on how busy they are and which cars they have free. Our booking form shows you fixed price quotes so you can compare. Some people want the cheapest quote. Others prefer a bigger car or a particular operator. The choice is yours.
