We are always keen to hear from licensed drivers who want to work in and around Edgware. If you hold a valid PCO licence, the private hire driver licence issued by Transport for London, you can apply to drive with the licensed minicab operators who receive bookings through our network.
We are a cab facilitator, not an employer of drivers. If your application goes ahead, you will work with a licensed private hire operator, and your terms will be agreed with that operator.
What the work involves
- Local journeys around Edgware, Burnt Oak, Stanmore, Mill Hill and nearby areas.
- Airport transfers to Heathrow, Luton, Gatwick, Stansted and London City.
- Station runs into central London.
- Pre-booked work, including early mornings, late nights and weekends.
- Some regular bookings, such as school runs, for drivers who meet the operator's extra checks.
What you need
- A valid TfL private hire driver licence (PCO licence).
- A licensed private hire vehicle, or plans to rent one through a recognised provider.
- Valid hire and reward insurance for the vehicle.
- The right to work in the UK.
- A smartphone and a good working knowledge of north west London roads.
- A polite, professional manner and a clean, well-kept car.
Operators will check your documents before you start. Please have copies of your licence, vehicle licence and insurance ready.
Why drive in the Edgware area?
Edgware is well placed for work. The M1, A41 and A5 give quick access to Luton and the M25, and the North Circular links to Heathrow and east London. Airport and station work makes up a big share of bookings, alongside local journeys.
How to apply
- Call 02037405080 or send us a WhatsApp message saying you are a PCO driver looking for work.
- Tell us your name, the area you live in, your licence expiry date and the type of vehicle you drive.
- We will put you in touch with a licensed operator who is looking for drivers.
You can also email info@edgwareairporttransfers.co.uk. Please do not send copies of documents until an operator asks for them.
